I don't agree with her on much, but she's done nothing - NOTHING - to deserve this.
I don't hide my politics but I'm disgusted when people who may (or may not) share my politics express themselves like this. Recently I've seen people openly ask why no one has dropped a plane on a certain political activist's building.
And I'm not interested in "the other side does it too" garbage. That doesn't matter. You're either against violence or you're not.
And we wonder why our political leaders can't accomplish anything.

I agree regardless of what one's politics, it should be OK to agree to disagree. Violence is not OK towards anyone. It seems our culture has moved in a direction where aggressive confrontation is an OK means of expressing oneself. That makes me sad, because what it does is stop smart open discourse where people can actually learn from another and agree on middle ground on issues.
I'm not sure I even need "middle ground on issues." I think there's a right approach and a wrong approach in terms of policy - so you vote on it and then you do it. Someone is going to win, someone is going to lose. The more "moderate" members of each parties are seeing primary challenges from people on their flanks, and frankly there's nothing wrong with that. But we're reaching the point where a 90-10 split isn't enough, and seriously, no one should get punched in the face.
The older I get, the more I think this sort of thing will never change, no matter how much we talk about it. :( As someone who managed to get out of a physically abusive first marriage, this is never funny -- not even when we're talking about politicians we detest.
